West Texas Catholic Father Dies in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO - It's a great loss for the West Texas Catholic community.

Father Barry McLean died suddenly on Sunday in San Angelo where he was celebrating the marriage jubilee mass.

Father McLean was currently serving as Director of Vocations for the Diocese of San Angelo.

He had previously served at several parishes in the Diocese including Saint Mary's in Odessa.

The rosary will be at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in San Angelo at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish in Big Spring.
