Man Leads Police on Chase Through Midland

MIDLAND - One man is facing evading charges after leading Midland Police on a chase through Midland.

According to Midland Police, they saw a black Ford Sport truck run a stop sign near Florida and Baird Street early Saturday morning.

Police tried to pull over the driver and the chase was on.

The chase lasted for about 10 minutes when the vehicle was lost around "N" Street and Missouri.

Police found the car parked and unoccupied behind 2003 West Wall in an alley.

After a search, police located 30-year-old Miguel Meza, Jr. hiding in some shrubs nearby.

Meza has been charged with evading in a motor vehicle with a previous conviction and two local warrants.

Meza is currently behind bars at the Midland County Detention Center.
