MIDLAND - Jail time is the prescription for a Midland man who tried to score some Xanax at a pharmacy.

19-year-old Kevin Garrett is charged with robbery.

Police say last Friday night, Garrett went to the pharmacy at the Walgreens on Andrews Highway with his hat lowered and a shirt covering his face.

They say he told the pharmacists that he said he "didn't want to cause problems" and to give him 500 Xanax pills.

Apparently no one explained the concept of a robbery to Garrett because he stuck around long enough for the police to arrive.

They searched him and found an extremely large and lethal blade on him.

He was then taken to jail.
