MIDLAND COUNTY - One man is behind bars on numerous charges after a vehicle pursuit on Friday night.
Police tell NewsWest 9, while they were on patrol on Highway 80, they saw a driver of a white 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup fail to signal intent to turn.
After checking with police dispatch and information received from the Midland Police Narcotics detectives, officers attempted to detain the driver.
However, the driver, identified as 31-year old Juan Ibarra, decided to run from officers and the chase began.
The chase continued along Highway 80 to FM 1788 in Midland County.
After all occupants, including Ibarra, were detained, the investigation revealed that Ibarra has two outstanding parole warrants and an unknown amount of narcotics in the vehicle. It was also discovered that a minor was in the vehicle during the chase.
Ibarra has been charged with evading in a motor vehicle, his two outstanding felony warrants and endangering a child.
