MIDLAND COUNTY - A tragic accident takes the life of a Midland teen.
The accident happened on County Road 1130 and Highway 80 around 5:30 p.m. Friday evening.
Troopers tell NewsWest 9, 17-year-old Wendy Caldera was crossing the railroad tracks and was headed to the access road when she failed to yield to a stop sign.
A pickup on the access road slammed into her on the driver's side.
Calder died at the scene.
The 21-year-old driver of the pickup wasn't hurt.
