NEW DETAILS: Midland International Airport Reopens After Bomb Threat

MIDLAND - NewsWest 9 has learned that the Midland International Airport is being reopened after being evacuated.

NewsWest 9's Jen Kastner is reporting that a 911 call was made to Odessa Police saying that multiple duffle bags with explosives were set to go off at 6 p.m.

Midland Police conducted an initial sweep and ordered an evacuation.

Officials have conducted another search and given the all clear.

A spokesperson for Union Pacific tells NewsWest 9 that railways were also included in the original threat.

Union Pacific worked with the OPD bomb squad. They conducted a sweep of a depot located at JBS Parkway and Highway 80 and nothing was found.
