MIDLAND - There's no arguing that we owe our military veterans a big debt of gratitude but one company is going beyond that and joining a cause to promote hiring vets.
AT&T has joined with the Texas Veterans Commission in an initiative to hire vets who recently got out of the military.
Senior Public Relations Consultant, Diane Brandon, says it's not just their duty to hire vets, it's their privilege and a smart choice.
"We think, not only is it the right thing to do for veterans who have served their country well, to be able to offer jobs, it's also something we want to do because these veterans bring tremendous skills to their positions. They're disciplined, they're going to show up to work on time, they're going to do their job to the best of their ability," Brandon said.
