Andrews ISD Aid Will Continue Grievance Process

ANDREWS: Debra Parent, the Clearfork Special Needs Aid who was also dismissed from the district, is continuing on with the grievance process in hopes of keeping her job.

A public hearing will be held in front of school officials and board members regarding Parent's employment with the district.

Parent was let go at the beginning of the year when school officials first learned of the alleged abuse against special needs students that was recorded on tape.

Parent worked under Terri Ragland, the special needs teacher who parents say they also recorded.

Ragland handed in her resignation last month with the district, however, her teaching license is still under review with the Texas Education Agency.

A date has not been set for Debra Parent's hearing.
