The new STAAR tests have come and gone but a lot of students won't know how if they passed until next year.
Students took the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness exam last month but we're told third through eighth grade students won't find out if they passed or failed until January.
The reason behind this is because the state has not set the standards of passing for those grade levels yet.
Mike Adkins with ECISD tells NewsWest 9, the passing requirements have already been set for high school students so those students aren't affected by the delay.
He says districts are still getting information from the state about implementing the results.
We're told it's a learning process for the state and districts because this is the first year the new test was given.
School officials are asking parents and students for patience while all the details are sorted out.
