Man Shot, Crashes Head-On With Another Vehicle in Odessa

ODESSA - New details have been released in connection with a man who was shot while driving in Odessa. Police tell NewsWest 9, they have determined that there is a link between the victim and the suspect.

Odessa Police tells NewsWest 9, 17-year-old Devin Brown, who was driving a gray Suburban, was stopped at a light in the 3200 hundred block of Andrews Highway when another vehicle drove up and shot at the suburban, striking the driver.

Brown took off heading northbound on Andrews Highway, veered to the wrong side of the road and hit head on with a Black Durango.

Brown was transported to Medical Center Hospital after being shot in the back. Police say Brown was talking when he was being transported to the hospital.

The woman driving the Durango was not hurt and refused transport.

There are no suspects at this time or a vehicle description.
