MIDLAND - The Hillander School in Midland broke ground on a brand new building on Wednesday.
It will feature a new state of the art science and computer lab, two new pre-school classrooms and a new indoor/outdoor cafeteria.
Officials say it will help contribute to the growth of the private school.
"This new building will help us to continue excellence in elementary education for years to come with the new state of the art technology in science and new classrooms to help our expanding preschool program," Capital Campaign Chairman, Karen Sparks, said.
Construction is expected to take about 10 to 12 months.
