Midland Man Behind Bars in Connection With Drive-By Shooting

MIDLAND - A drive-by shooting over the weekend lands a Midland man in jail.

Police have charged 20-year-old Matthew Ryan Blain with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Officers responded to a shots fired call on west Washington Street on Sunday afternoon

They found shell casings and three bullet holes in the front door a house

Several people were inside the home at the time

Witnesses say they saw a black truck in the area before the shooting.

The homeowners told police Blain had been at the home earlier where he got into a fight with another person hitting them with a two by four.

Officers later tracked him down in the black truck

Blain is now behind bars on a $30,000 bond.

If convicted, he could face up to 20-years in prison.
