Man Who Caused Fatal Accident Near Sanderson to Face Manslaughter Charges

TERRELL COUNTY - Two people were killed in a head on collision caused by an Alabama man running from the law near Sanderson.

Now, he's facing manslaughter charges.

The crash happened on U.S. Highway 90 on Friday after a high speed chase between 38-year-old David Robert Steiner and Pecos DPS.

Steiner ended up on the wrong side of the road where he hit a vehicle head on.

34-year-old Georgina Ghidotti and 58-year-old Judith Escamilla, both of Glendale, Arizona, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their passenger, 44-year-old Michael Ghidotti was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Steiner was taken a San Antonio hospital and was later taken to Brook Army Medical Center, where a deputy is keeping an eye on him.
