Fire crews are working to control hot spots and are monitoring what remains of the El Capitan fire near Pine Springs, Texas.
Fire crews were able to put out the fire on Sunday and they estimate 171 acres have been burned.
Travelers along U.S. Highway 62/180 in the pine springs area are asked to be cautious due to the fire vehicles and personnel on the highway.
Unfortunately the wildfire has also caused several camping trails and campgrounds to close.
The closed trails include: Guadalupe Peak, Devil's Hall, El Capitan, Salt Basin and Salt Basin Overlook Trail.
The Williams Ranch Road and the Guadalupe Peak Back Country Campground have also been closed.
