BIG SPRING - A Big Spring man is homeless after a grassfire spread to his home destroying everything.
Firefighters were called out to Valley and First Street on Sunday afternoon for the blaze.
Thick black smoke could be seen for miles in the area.
We're told the man living inside the home smelled smoke and went outside when he saw the grassfire coming toward his house.
The fire also took out several other outbuildings on the block but no other homes were reported damaged.
The fire burned about five acres.
A cause of the fire is under investigation.
