ODESSA - A couple of students at Ireland Elementary ended up in the hospital due to the extreme heat on Thursday.
According to ECISD officials, students were enjoying their field day at Ireland Elementary on Thursday when two students reported they were feeling sick.
We're told the students were taken to the hospital and treated for heat related illnesses.
School officials didn't know the extent of their conditions but they did say that schools must take more care when having their field days.
