ODESSA - It was a big day for a bunch of fourth graders in Odessa.
Thanks to the United Way of Odessa, 86 students completed the Botvin Life Skills Training Program.
On Thursday morning, students at Burleson Elementary took part in a completion ceremony.
Throughout April and May, the students learned and practiced certain life skills.
Those skills consisted of decision-making, effective communication and how to avoid risky behavior.
The Botvin Life Skills training program is a substance abuse and violence prevention program.
