SARAGOSA - On Tuesday, the residents of Saragosa came together to remember the lives lost in a devastating tornado that happened 25 years ago.

Memorials were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and at the community center.

The original Church was destroyed and 22 people died during a graduation ceremony.

The names of those killed were called out while special candles were lit in their memory.

That day not only changed lives but it also showed major flaws in the weather alert system.

After the memorial, the National Weather Service of Midland held a special Skywarn training session.

The training session teaches residents to recognize severe weather signs and how to be better prepared.
