ALPINE - Students at Sul Ross will have to put out their cigarette butts.

The college campus in Alpine has adopted a smoke-free, tobacco-free policy.

The policy goes into effect June first and that includes smokeless tobacco.

The new rules apply to faculty, staff, students and visitors.

Once you step foot on their property, you'll need to snuff out your tobacco products.

Sul Ross joins other schools in the Texas State University System implementing the policy.
