Andrews Man Killed in Accident on Highway 385

NEAR ANDREWS - An Andrews man is dead following an accident on Highway 385.

DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, a flat bed semi that was carrying pipes was headed southbound on Highway 385 when the semi had a blowout, veered into the median and into incoming traffic.

The semi collided head on with a black pickup.

The driver, 31-year-old Bradley Don Newbrough from Andrews, was killed in the accident.

The driver of the semi, 40-year-old Carlos Granado, was taken to the hospital with cuts and bruises.

The northbound lanes of Highway 385 were closed for several hours but they have since been reopened.
