Hobbs Man Sentenced on Murder Charges

HOBBS, N.M. - A Hobbs man locked in up jail for a year won't be getting out anytime soon.

32-year-old Elgin Vine was sentenced to 16 years in prison for murder.

He shot and killed 24-year-old Fashawn Fields back in April of last year in Hobbs.

Vine turned himself into police the next day.
