MIDLAND - A Midland teen's crazy Saturday night turned into a run-in with the law on Sunday morning.

19-year-old Oscar Pena is charged with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.

On Sunday morning, someone on Golf Course Road called police saying a teenager was asleep on their lawn.

When police tried to wake Pena up, they say he tried to walk into the house.

When officers tried to arrest him, he began to fight back.

The Midland Fire Department helped officers restrain Pena.

Pena later said he had smoked a lot of K-2 and drank a lot of liquor.

K-2 is a synthetic marijuana.
