SNYDER - Snyder residents don't have to worry about a dry lake anymore.

As of last week, the Colorado River Municipal Water District has started pumping water to them.

Lake J.B. Thomas was drying to the bone as it was used to pump water to Odessa, Big Spring and Snyder.

It was the only source of water for the city of Snyder but because of the severe drought they had to find another way to get them water.

They expected the lake to dry out completely by June of this year.

CRMWD had to start laying pipeline a few months back across what used to be Lake Thomas and as of last Wednesday they started pumping water to them from the other lakes.
