Texas Governor Rick Perry has appointed a West Texas man to oversee major decisions affecting our state's water.
Frederick Rylander is making the small town of Iraan proud.
He was recently appointed to the Texas Water Development Board for the next five years.
He will oversee the state's water planning, financial programs for water supply and other projects.
Rylander is a rancher with a long list of accomplishments.
He's a former regional manager of National Oilwell Varco, a board member for Combat Marines Outdoors, a former mayor and the list goes on.
Rylander also served his country in the army and is a proud aggie.
