We have new information on a local judge that was accused of misusing campaign money.

He's been cleared by the Texas Ethics Commission.

Back in February, a complaint was filed against 118th District Judge Timothy Yeats.

At the time, the judge told NewsWest 9 he did nothing wrong.

The complaint was dismissed by the Texas Ethics Commission.

Judge Yeats has voluntarily signed an assurance of voluntary compliance in which he acknowledges the requirements of the Texas Election Code as they pertain to campaign finance reporting.

No fines or penalties were given.

The 118th district covers Glasscock, Howard and Martin Counties.
