MIDLAND - New information on the Midland Army recruiter accused of soliciting sex from a 12-year-old girl.

26-year-old Arnold Gonzales waived his preliminary hearing on Friday.

Now he'll be released from the U.S. Marshal's custody and placed in a halfway house.

There he'll be able to work during the day but will have to check in at night.

Officials with the U.S. Attorney's Office in New Mexico tell NewsWest 9, the government has 30 days to present to the grand jury for an indictment.

Gonzalez was arrested last week in Clovis, New Mexico.

Authorities' say he used the Internet to solicit sex from what he thought was a 12-year-old girl.

But here's the twist, he was never actually talking to an underage girl.

It was a Curry County Sheriff's Internet Predator Decoy.
