FORT STOCKTON - The Fort Stockton community came together this weekend to raise money for the ones who protect and serve their city.

The Fort Stockton Police Department needed help buying new bulletproof vests for their officers.

This past weekend, a golf tournament fundraiser was held to raise money.

19 teams participated and we're told the tournament brought in over $5,000.

Chief Art Fuentes says the department is also working on applying for grant money to get federal help for the new vests.
