MIDLAND - A chase involving Midland Police Officers reached speeds over 100 miles per hour Sunday.

Around 10 Sunday night, officers observed 4 vehicles racing eastbound on the North service road of Highway 80. They tried to pull over the drivers, but a white Escalade refused to stop.

Police say the driver took off eastbound on Highway 80, reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour. When the vehicle reached Loop 250, it made a U turn and began to travel westbound in the eastbound lanes.

The Escalade turned south onto CR 1140 where it reached IH-20. Once on IH-20, the Escalade traveled westbound on IH-20 and speeds reached approximately 115 MPH. The Escalade took the Garden City exit and continued westbound on the north service road of IH-20 until it turned northbound onto Lamesa Road.
