Aggravated Robbery Ends in Gunfire

ODESSA - Odessa Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that ended in gunfire.

It happened in the parking lot of the Motel 6 in Odessa around 4 a.m. Friday morning. The victim, 33-year-old Matthew Strevel, told police that he was standing in the parking lot when he was approached by two white males.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at him and demanded his wallet. Strevel says when he ran, the suspect shot him in the back of his lower right leg. He was transported to Medical Center Hospital where he's in good condition.

Police are still trying to catch up with the suspects. One of them is described as a white male, 5'6" tall, 150 pounds, with black hair. He was wearing a baseball cap and white t-shirt. The second suspect is described as a white male. He was wearing a black baseball cap and white t-shirt.

Both were last seen driving a green Pontiac Grand Prix four door.
