MIDLAND - Midland students going into the 7th grade next year could be kicked out of class on the first day, that's because most of them haven't received their immunization.

Three years ago, an immunization law went into effect that requires all students entering into 7th grade to get their updated shots.

If your child doesn't, it could keep them from attending the first day of class.

We're told that now nearly 1,000 students need it.

School officials are hoping parents will do it now, rather than later.

They prefer to have the information before the end of the school year.
