HOBBS, N.M. - The run is over for an Ector County fugitive.

41-year-old Charles Thompson was caught in Hobbs four years after being jailed on charges of sexually abusing an 11 year old girl.

Thompson bonded out and was on the run ever since.

Hobbs Police tracked him down last week while investigating a woman for selling possible stolen music equipment.

She told officers Thompson gave it to her and sent police his way.

We're told she let officers know Thompson had bragged about hiding from the Feds in a secret compartment under his bed and that's exactly where police found him.

His girlfriend, Dawn Gwynn, was charged with harboring a fugitive.
