BREWSTER COUNTY - A former instructor at the Sul Ross Law Enforcement Academy is under investigation for examination fraud.

Now, she has three indictments against her.

Just last week, a Brewster County Grand Jury returned three indictments against Kellie Powell.

Powell was Head Instructor at the Law Enforcement Academy at Sul Ross University.

She was removed from her position last year when the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education or TCLOSE began their investigation on Powell for examination fraud.

She's accused of tampering with the state licensing exam and helping students who were taking the test.

The three charges are considered state jail felonies.

Powell was arrested last Thursday but she has since been released on bond.

Her next court appearance will be the end of May or beginning of June where her initial arraignment will be set by a judge.
