Midland Police Searching for Robbery Suspect

MIDLAND - Midland Police are on the hunt for a woman who pepper sprayed a Kent Kwik employee for a pack of cigarettes.

Officers responded to the Kent Kwik in the 2300 block of east Front Street around 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning for a robbery.

The employee told police a woman asked for a pack of cigarettes.

The woman then pointed a can of mace at the cashier and demanded all the cash in the register.

When the cashier closed the drawer, the woman pepper sprayed her and took off with the pack of cigarettes.

It's not known if the robber had a getaway vehicle waiting for her.

Luckily, the employee was fine after getting treatment but police need your help catching the thief.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic woman about 5'8" tall and around 170 pounds.

She had long black hair and was wearing a blue Yankees baseball cap, a tan hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans and flip flops.
