MIDLAND COUNTY - Local Democrats came together on Saturday morning for the Midland County Democratic Convention.
The event was open to any qualified voter who had registered at least 30 days before the Convention and who had also signed an oath of affiliation with the Democratic Party.
Members voted on delegates who will represent Midland County at the State Democratic Convention.
Because of the changes to the election schedule this year, the Texas Convention and delegate selection process will start at the county level.
The delegates and alternates elected at Saturday's Convention will go to the State Convention in Houston which will take place in June.
