MIDLAND - Another apartment complex could be going up in Midland to help ease the housing crunch.
On Monday, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved zoning changes for a 300 unit complex.
It would be located on the west side of Tradewinds Boulevard off of Highway 80.
The city council will soon take a final vote on the project.
But there's only one stopping block, traffic.
There is already a 96 unit complex nearby and a 300 unit complex could create headaches.
The city is expected to conduct a traffic study in the area.
Once everything is approved, construction would take up to eight months.
