MIDLAND COUNTY- If you logged on to our web site on Tuesday, you may have been surprised. The new site is up and running and Internet Content Director Ronnie Marley has made sure it's all about speed and convenience.

"Now you can see the weather in your header, that's one thing we definitely wanted our viewers to have," Marley said. "The moment that it loads, you can see the temperature."

The navigation toolbar that's underneath the header has also been simplified to give users an easier view. The whole site loads faster, too.

One of the new features is the Stormtracker 9 Interactive Radar. All a user has to do is type in their address and they can track the storm down to the very street.

The re-launch is part of NewsWest 9's commitment to bringing the latest news on all fronts.

"[Multi-media] is something that is very big with us," Marley said. "If it's on our Facebook page, it's on our Twitter, it's on our iPhone app's, it will be everywhere."

Marley is hoping to launch an iPad app by this summer. He said that other tablet app's are also in the works.
