Students at nine more schools in the Midland Independent School District will be required to wear uniforms next year but not everyone is happy about it and they're taking their frustrations to the web.

An online petition has started protesting the uniforms on the website

There are close to 90 signatures so far.

This past Tuesday, the Midland School Board approved the mandatory uniforms for nine out of 11 elementary schools that were up for consideration.

The look would vary a bit from school to school but some options are solid-colored polo shirts and black, khaki, or navy pants and skirts.

Those nine schools include Burnet, Crockett, DeZavala, Fannin, Sam Houston, Jones, Jane Long, Milam and Rusk.

The schools say there is research that shows it's cheaper for parents to by uniforms than regular clothes.
