MIDLAND - The tax deadline is less than a week away but it's not too late for all you procrastinators.

Liberty Tax Service in Midland says this will be an especially interesting year.

With a booming economy, the owner of the tax service is expecting a record number of people coming in at the last minute.

"I found there are still quite a few of my return clients that haven't come to us yet and we haven't done extensions for them yet.  So I expect to quite a few more extensions than I usually do. Probably Monday and Tuesday will be as close to Armageddon," John Wojtkun, Owner of Liberty Tax Service in Midland, said.

Liberty Tax Service says they're expecting 20 percent more mayhem this year.

If you still need to file, all you need to do is bring in your W-2, 1090 and an ID.

If you're looking for more time to pay, an extension isn't necessarily going to help you out.

Jon says by April 17, you need to send in some sort of payment because that's when the clock starts on penalties and interest.
