Two Lamesa brothers are believed to have drowned at a beach in South Texas. According to Corpus Christi Police, 20-year-old Peter Schmitt dove into the waters on Sunday afternoon to try and save his younger brother, Herman.

PORT ARANSAS - Two Lamesa brothers are believed to have drowned at a beach in South Texas.

According to Corpus Christi Police, 20-year-old Peter Schmitt dove into the waters on Sunday afternoon to try and save his younger brother, Herman.

Both boys went missing.

After a short time later, Herman's body was pulled out of the water.

He was given CPR but died a short time later.

The Coast Guard is continuing to scan Corpus Christi beaches for peter but they haven't located him yet.

According to the medical examiner, the younger brother's death was ruled accidental.
