CARLSBAD, N.M. - Carlsbad police have released the name of the shooter in a murder-suicide on Friday.
22-year-old Christopher Dluehosh died on Saturday morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators say Dluehosh was at the Denny's in Carlsbad when he went up to the counter and shot a waitress, 34-year-old Rachel Rodriguez, several times.
He then went to the middle of the restaurant and shot himself in the head.
Dluehosh died the next day at the hospital.
Investigators haven't found a connection between the two nor have they found a reason for the shooting.
