PERMIAN BASIN - Firefighters responded to a fire out in Midland County because of the severe weather that moved through the Permian Basin on Saturday evening.
The blaze ignited after lightning struck a tank battery on the Endeavor Lease off of Highway 349 near FM 1379.
The fire spread to a total of three tank batteries before crews could get it under control.
High winds from the storm may have caused some people on the south side of Odessa to lose power.
Sue Mercer with ONCOR tells NewsWest 9, about 1,150 customers were without power on Saturday Evening.
A primary line fell on top of another big line.
Crews are out working on the problem and hope to have power restored to all customers as soon as possible.
