ANDREWS - The City of Andrews is looking to the future by annexing almost 200 acres of land.
The Andrews Economic Development Corporation currently holds a little over 190 acres of land for business development and the city is looking to annex it.
By adding the land, the city will gain more tax dollars to aid in future development for the city.
The Economic Development Corporation will front about $1 million to get infrastructure like roads, along with water and sewer lines installed.
Once developed, the land will be ready for businesses that are looking to expand operations or set up shop in the area.
The decision to annex the land will go before the City Council at their meeting next week.
