BIG SPRING - Big Spring police say a 911 call they received Wednesday was a hoax.

The call came from an inactivated cell phone. The man told police that he had killed someone at 601 Caylor, then repeated the message and hung up.

Officers were told by neighbors that two gunshots were heard before officers arrived at the scene.

A woman came out of the home and was detained. She said nothing had happened at the home and she made no calls to 911. The woman was later released.

The tactical team found no one else inside the house and say there was no sign of anyone hurt.
