Marfa Border Patrol Agents made a huge bust last week.
Almost 2,400 pounds of marijuana was found during a routine stop at a checkpoint.
Last Thursday afternoon, Border Patrol Agents stopped a truck at the Highway 67 checkpoint south of Marfa.
We're told K-9 units alerted agents to steel plow rippers on the trailer.
Once inside, agents found sealed metal boxes full of the drugs.
Turns out there were 2,395 pounds of marijuana hidden on the big rig.
The driver, trailer and the drugs were all turned over to the Drug Enforcement Agency.
This is the second time in less than a month that the Big Bend sector has seized a large amount of marijuana. In March, Marfa agents found over 1,000 pounds of marijuana hidden in a bulldozer blade.
