CRANE COUNTY - Crews are putting out hot spots after two fires sparked up in Crane County on Sunday afternoon.
The blazes were big enough that firefighters from Odessa, West Odessa, South Ector County and McCamey were all called in to help.
Both fires ignited off of FM 1601 around the same time but near different cross roads.
The fire located near FM 1601 and Navajo Road burned between 700-900 acres. Officials don't have an exact number just yet.
Crane Volunteer Fire Chief Berry Ingram says they believe this fire started by a spark from a power line.
Another fire started off FM 1601 and FM 1233. Ingram says that fire burned less than 100 acres but they're still looking into how it was started.
It took crews a few hours to get the blazes under control.
We're told no homes were ever in danger.
