MIDLAND COUNTY - A man accused of brutal murder in Midland County signed half of his life away on Friday as part of a plea deal.
24-year-old Paul Lee of El Paso will now spend 48 years behind bars for murder and aggravated assault.
On Monday, his accomplice, Stephen Whitworth, was found guilty for the same crime and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Last summer, both Lee and Stephen Whitworth drove Christopher Easley and his girlfriend to south County Road 1210.
There Easley was beaten to death and his girlfriend was stabbed.
The woman was later found running along the road covered in blood trying to flag someone down for help.
She was taken to the hospital for stab wounds to her throat, chest and stomach.
Police found Christopher Easley dead at the scene.
