ODESSA - An Odessa dad is behind bars after being accused of spanking his daughter so hard, it left bruises and even caused the little girl to urinate on herself.
Police say 27-year-old Jacob Loffler spanked his daughter because she accidentally knocked down her step sister and made her cry.
According to the affidavit, when Loffler heard about the accident he pulled the seven-year-old girl's pants down and spanked her leaving a hand-shaped bruise.
He girl told police she was spanked so hard she urinated on herself and even had to get medical attention.
The girl's mother saw the bruises after the daughter complained of back pain after spending the weekend with her dad.
Loffler is now in the Ector County Jail facing charges of injury to a child.
