MIDLAND - A flag that flew during the recovery efforts of 9/11 made a stop in Midland on Sunday afternoon.
Called the "Honor Flag," it has traveled over five million miles and been at over 1,000 memorials, tributes and funerals for our fallen heroes.
The flag is on its way to El Paso to honor a DPS trooper killed in a car accident while responding to a call.
The flag stopped in midland to switch motorcade officers.
The same flag was also in the Basin for the funerals of the three Odessa police officers killed in the line of duty.
