ALPINE - A new gas company in Alpine will be offering lower gas rates for their customers.
This week, the city council approved the rate changes for the Southwest Texas Municipal Gas Corporation.
Rates will change from $17 per thousand cubic feet to a little over $12.
However, that price is not set in stone.
