HOWARD COUNTY - 11 horses that were rescued by the Howard County Sheriff's Office have new homes.

According to Sheriff Stan Parker, all 11 horses were sold very quickly in Friday's auction.

The horses were found on a ranch earlier this month dying and malnourished.

After they were nursed back to health, they were put up for auction.

Several people turned out to bid on the horses to give them good homes.

Sheriff Parker tells NewsWest 9, they all went to good homes and he was very pleased it turned out the way it did.
